Brooks Brothers Fall/Winter 2012 Preview
Yesterday I rode up to the sixth floor at 346 Madison Avenue for a preview of Brooks next season. The spokesmen admitted the company hasnt been playing up their heritage quite as well as it could, and the fall 2012 collection full of clever self-referencing.
For example, socks arent just striped, theyre versions of Brooks famous rep ties:
Rep material also shows up as a detail on these chinos, whose pockets are polka-dot lined (and if you dont like the sewn-on brand logo, simply remove it).

It has been announced that Kate Moss has been chosen as face of Mango.
The model will star in their spring 2012 campaign ads.

Hollywoods status as an epicenter of impeccable sartorial taste is long gone, but there was at least one guest at Sundays Golden Globe Awards who gave a nod to the well tailored days of yore.
That man was talent agent Ben Press, son of former J. Press president and Ivy Style columnist Richard Press. Company founder Jacobi was Bens great-grandfather.
Ben accompanied client and longtime friend Elle Macpherson and was dressed in a dinner jacket made for his grandfather Paul (Richards father, if youre having trouble following the family tree) in 1968.
