Can I tell you a secret?? I used to be a hair model for the Vidal Sassoon salon back in the day!! (if I could find a picture I would show you! LOL). Sassoon has been around for 50 years and they have salons all over the world. This holiday season, they are having a little sale so you can look cute for your holiday parties!!

I will actually be heading over to the Tysons Corner location tomorrow for some cut and color action (going a bit darker for the cooler months I am feeling like a cinnamon bun right now I need some contrast!! LOL) So I will be back with a report of my visit. For locations near you check their website.

Did you know that the great fashion company Burberry is doing a music project? Their music project, Burberry Acoustic, meets various artists in a location sentimental to them, and allows the audience to experience a private acoustic concert. Its fair to say Im obsessed. I leave the YouTube playlist on repeat at all times and have told everyone I know about it. The simplicity and beautiful characteristics of each video is beyond enchanting, not to mention the flawless music.

If you missed part 1 of this absolutely gorgeous fusion wedding (originally featured in the fall issue of Wedding Nouveau Magazine), then go ahead and get caught up on all the Parisian details. My favorite part has to be the brides attire: Traditional Kaftans, embroidered in silk, and adorned in fine jewelry.
Formal morning attire for men evolved in the late 18th century. The Tailcoat was originally a riding coat which fell to the knee, but it was adopted by the rich and fashionable as formal dress and was popular until the beginning of the last century. It is still the favoured wedding attire here, and is also worn at the big, fashionable race meetings as befits it’s sporting origins. The traditional wedding suit is a black morning coat, black and grey striped trousers, a waistcoat, white shirt and a tie. The coat is single breasted, with one button, sweeping away to the sides to form a pair of tails behind. Full article…
While I was out getting some last-minute Halloween candy the other day, I saw something that made me stop in my tracks. No, it wasnt my husband in that scream-face mask he always tries to scare me with (believe me, its not scary), it was an aisle of Christmas decorations, located right next to the Halloween section of the store. That aisle of yuletide trimmings served to remind me that its just 2 months until Christmas, and from here on out, things will get increasingly hectic. So to get myself in the right frame of mind I did what any good scrapper would do I stocked up on card-making essentials!
If youre planning on making your holiday cards, earlier is better in my book.
